"For no one can lay
a foundation other
than that which is laid,
which is Jesus Christ."

1 Cor. 3:11

Our Beliefs

Scriptures

We believe that the Holy bible was written by men, inspired by God, and is without error. It is accurate in all matters to which it speaks: spiritual, historical and scientific. The Bible is the only complete an final revelation of God's will for mankind and is therefore the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions should be tried. (II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21)

God

We believe in the one and true living God and in the unity of the Godhead. God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The three have distinct personalities and yet are of the same substance, one God. (Gen. 1:1; John 10:30; John 4:24; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14)

Man

Man is created in the image and likeness of God. In Adam, all mankind fell into sin with the result that all men are sinners. Men are justly condemned to eternal judgment and can do nothing to merit salvation. (Rom. 2:2,3,5; Eph. 2:8,9; Gen. 1:27, 9:6; Rom. 5:12, e:23; Eph. 2:1)

Jesus Christ

The eternal Son of God became incarnate in the Lord Jesus Christ, being born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. He died physically on the cross and was bodily resurrected three days later. (John 1:1,14,18; 5:18; Heb. 1:1-9; 5:8; I John 5:20; I Tim. 2:5; I Cor. 15:1-5)

Salvations

Salvation is given to those men chosen by God and drawn to Christ by the Holy Spirit. The only means to their salvation is belief in Christ's substitutionary death and resurrections. (Acts 4:12; 13:38-39; I Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 4:;4-5; 5:1; John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 16:31; Eph. 1:4-5; Rom. 8:29-30)

Sanctification

Every believer is promised positional, progressive and ultimate sanctification. (Heb. 10:10,14; John 17:15-57; Eph. 5:26-27; I Thess. 4:3-4; I John 3:2; I Cor. 6:11)

Assurance

All who are born of the Spirit through faith in Christ can have assurance of salvation and are eternally secure in Christ. (Rom. 5:1; I John 5:13; John 10:27-29; 17:12; II Tim. 1:12; Eph. 4:20; John 6:37)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is one with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts of sin, of judgment and of righteousness; He bears witness tot he truth of the gospel in preaching and testimony; He seals, indwells, baptizes, guides, teaches, witnesses, comforts, sanctifies and empowers believers yielded to God. (Gen. 1:13; Matthew 3:11; 28:19; Mark 1:8; Luke 1:35; 3:16; 24:49; John 1:33; 3:5-6; 14:16-67, 26; 15:26-27; 16:8-11,13; Acts 5:30-32; 11:16; Romans 8:14,16,26-27; Eph. 1:13-14; II Thess. 2:7,13; Heb. 9:14; I Pet. 1:2; Matt. 28:19; John 3:3-7; Titus 3:4; I Cor. 6:19; I Cor. 2:12: 12:13; Eph. 4:30; Col. 3:14)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that there are different kinds of gifts, but the same spirit. Each manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good. The manifestations are: the message of wisdom, the message of knowledge, faith, gift of healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing between spirit, speaking in different kinds of tongues and interpretation of tongues. I Cor. 1:1-11

Five Fold Ministry

We believe that the calling of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher are functional within the body of Christ until the Lord's return. Further, these ministries are gifts to the fellowship for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry that the body of Christ may be edified. Eph. 4:11-16

Priesthood of Believers

We believe in the priesthood of the believer. This is to say, all people born of God have equal status before, and direct access to, their Lord. I Pet. 2:5

Great Commission

We believe that all believers have been divinely charged with the responsibility to spread the gospel, baptize new believers and teach them to observe what the Lord commands. Matt. 28:18-2

Christ's Second Coming

We believe in the literal second coming of our Lord, the literal rule of Christ upon the earth, the resurrection of the regenerate to eternal life and the unregenerate to eternal damnation, and the ultimate victory of the eternal kingdom of God. Acts 1:9-11; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 22:1-7
